Belfast is home of the world’s largest Titanic visitor attraction where visitors can explore the highly interactive museum; see the only existing original footage and experience the full-scale reconstructions of arguably the most famous ship of all time. Another great museum is the Ulster Museum which allows visitors the chance to see Princess Takabuti- an ancient Egyptian mummy, a collection of seabed fossils dating back 200 million years and many more interesting exhibitions.

Aside from museums, Belfast offers visitors something a little unique with independent Game of Thrones tours where you can visit filming locations of this hugely popular cult television series or take some holiday snaps with the unusual big fish monument in the centre of the city. If you have a sweet tooth then Aunt Sandra’s Candy factory should definitely make your holiday itinerary; watch and sample some of the delicious handmade treats being made using the same recipes which have been used for over 100 years.

Depending how long you stay, venture outside the city and take a tour up to the Giant’s Causeway, a renowned UNESCO World heritage site where you can see the beautiful prehistoric basalt formation formed and hike along the dramatic cliffs, taking in the magical atmosphere of the site voted as the UK’s best heritage attraction.
